The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving business growth within an assigned territory by developing opportunities with OEMs, distributors, and key end-user accounts. This role focuses on promoting power transmission products, particularly high-precision servo product families and engineered gearmotor assemblies. Success in this position requires managing a large geographic region and influencing purchasing decisions across multiple organizational levels.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or Marketing/Business, or the equivalent of 8 years of industrial automation sales experience.
  • Proven success in developing a sales territory and meeting sales targets, with 8 years of direct sales to large OEMs and motion control distributors.
  • Strong technical knowledge of servomotors, precision gearboxes, and other motion control products.
  • Understanding of mechanical and electrical servo system sizing and the ability to guide customers to the right solution.
  • Experience working with new product lines.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, focusing on increasing sales and profitability.

Application Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide the first level of technical support to distributors, OEM and end user accounts. Ability to use configurator tools and general navigation of websites.
  • Respond to all incoming pre- and post-sale customer inquiries, including customer account setup, expedite requests, cancellations, pricing or stock checks, order status/tracking within 24-48 hours.
  • Maintain a high level of order accuracy.
  • Handle customer requests for credit, returns, warranty and repair. Prepare Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) documents to be sent to the customer.
  • Partner with Business Development Managers and Application Engineers to meet and exceed the customer’s service expectations. Be the primary liaison between the customer, sales team, engineering, and material control departments.
  • Coordinate with production, shipping, warehouse or parent headquarters to track product shipments.
  • Prepare customer quotations and follow up with the customer or appropriate sales/application engineer.
  • Establish and maintain customer records in CRM and/or ERP systems, including accounts/contacts, notes, leads, opportunities, quotations and other information for efficient handling of responsibilities.
